Consultation launched on the redevelopment of MCS

MCS have undertaken a rigorous review of MCS, the way the scheme operates and the delivery of consumer protections. The conclusion of this review has led to a proposed redevelopment of the scheme which they are inviting views on as they launch a consultation. The full report can be read HERE

The aim is to reduce the complexity of the Ceritfication Scheme that sits around MCS standards. Certification should not be a barrier to industry entry, or purely an administrative burden to contractors. As demans for small-scale renewables grows MCS want to ensure the delivery of high quality, compliant installations with embedded safeguards for consumers. The deadline for responding is 9.00am on 17th July.
