Home Heating Solutions

Heat pump systems designed around your home

Every home is different, which is why the right heat pump system should be designed around your property, not chosen from a one-size-fits-all package. Your current heating setup, available space, insulation, hot water needs and how you use your home all play an important role in finding the most suitable solution.

You may be looking to replace oil or LPG heating, improve year-round comfort or extend the use of your swimming pool.

Whatever your starting point, Solaris Energy will help you understand your options clearly and move forward with confidence.

Why Choose a Heat pump?

A smarter way to heat

  • Efficient Comfort

A well-designed heat pump system can provide steady, reliable heating and hot water for your home or pool.

  • Lower-Carbon

Heat pumps can help reduce your reliance on fossil fuels by using energy from the air, ground or surrounding environment.

  • Designed for You

Your system will be specified around your home, heating needs, available space and long-term plans.

  • Long-Term Performance

With professional design, installation and maintenance, a heat pump can provide efficient heating support for years to come.

Your questions answered

Frequently asked questions

  • Air source and ground source systems suit different properties and sites. We consider your heating demand, outdoor and indoor space, available land and budget. Pool heating is assessed separately around your pool and how you use it.

  • Yes, an older home can be suitable. Its age alone does not determine the answer. Heat-loss calculations, insulation, radiator output and available space help establish what the system needs and whether any supporting improvements would be worthwhile.

  • In many homes, yes. The replacement needs to be designed around the property’s heating and hot water demand. We assess the existing installation and explain any changes to radiators, cylinders, pipework or electrical connections that may be required.

  • No. Heat pumps can work with suitable radiators as well as underfloor heating. What matters is whether the emitters can deliver enough heat at the intended operating temperature. Some radiators may need upgrading, depending on the room’s heat loss.

  • We start by discussing your property, current heating and priorities. From there, we can explain suitable options and the information or survey needed for a tailored recommendation. Design, installation and aftercare requirements are considered as the project develops.

  • The level of disruption depends on the work required. Some projects involve changes to radiators, pipework or hot water storage alongside the heat pump. We discuss access, the installation programme and any interruptions to services so you can plan around the work.

  • Eligible installations in England and Wales may qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. The support available depends on the property, existing heating and proposed system. Ask us to explain the current scheme requirements alongside your installation options.

  • No. An estimate provides an initial indication based on the information supplied. A final quotation needs a more detailed assessment of the property and proposed works. Tell us about planned building changes and any radiator or pipework concerns when discussing your project.

Grants and Support

Boiler Upgrade Scheme Support

Eligible homeowners in England and Wales may be able to receive £7,500 towards a qualifying air source or ground source heat pump installation through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. The scheme is designed to reduce the upfront cost of replacing fossil fuel or electric heating with a low-carbon heating system.

Solaris Energy can help you understand whether your property may qualify and guide you through the process. The scheme is installer-led, which means an MCS-certified installer applies for and redeems the voucher on behalf of the property owner.
