Ongoing support

Keep your heat pump performing at its best

Heat pumps do not require annual safety checks in the same way as traditional boilers, but regular servicing is still important. Preventative maintenance helps protect efficiency, identify issues early and support the long-term performance of your system.

Solaris Energy provides servicing, maintenance and fault-finding support for air source and ground source heat pumps of different makes, models and sizes. Our team can help with routine annual servicing, breakdowns and ongoing aftercare.

Who we support

What is included in a heat pump service?

A heat pump service gives your system a thorough check to make sure it is clean, working efficiently and performing as it should.

During a typical visit, Solaris will inspect key parts of the system, clean components where needed, check airflow and clearances, and review electrical, refrigeration and heating system performance. This may include checks around the fan, evaporator, cylinder, expansion vessel and filters.

The time needed for a service will depend on the type, size and condition of your system, but our aim is always to help keep it running reliably and efficiently.

Your questions answered

Frequently asked questions

  • Annual servicing is commonly recommended, but follow the requirements for your specific equipment and warranty. Regular checks help identify developing problems and maintain efficient operation. Solaris can advise on a suitable service arrangement for your system.

  • The checks depend on the equipment and installation. They can include inspection and cleaning, airflow and clearance checks, controls, electrical connections and heating system components. We can explain the scope of the planned visit for your heat pump.

  • Contact us with the make, model, location and any available service records. Solaris supports different makes and models, and we can confirm whether we can assist with your particular installation before arranging a visit.

  • Send your contact details, site address, heat pump make and model, a description of the problem and any displayed fault codes. Photographs and recent service information can also help us understand the issue before discussing the next steps.

  • The charge depends on the type of visit and work required. Callout fees, diagnostic time, repairs and travel may be charged separately from routine servicing. Check the pricing information on this page and ask us to confirm the applicable charges when booking.

  • Manufacturers may require servicing and records as part of their warranty conditions. Check the terms for your equipment and keep your service documentation. A service does not extend the warranty automatically or guarantee that a particular fault will be covered.

  • Contact us with your postcode and system details so we can confirm availability. Travel charges apply to sites outside Kent under the stated charging arrangements and should be confirmed before the visit.

  • Make sure the engineer can access the outdoor unit, indoor equipment, controls and relevant service records. Tell us beforehand about access restrictions or site requirements. Keep a note of fault codes and symptoms rather than attempting repairs yourself.
